Still, sunscreen is a good idea if you get burned a lot. Blame it on genetics if you want - it's a good excuse.

I can tan, I don't burn too easily, however my skin isn't as sensitive as my eyes to the sun and lights and stuff. Does anyone here feel like fluorescent lights kind of also hurt your skin? They feel like they are shooting rays of something into me and under my skin and I get really strange vision as well, like everything looks very sharp.
Am I alone in my theory/symptoms?

Fluorescent lights give off small amounts of UV. For most people, the fluorescent light UV is not a problem. For most vampires, this isn't a problem either, as strange as it may sound. You might, however, want to get tested for any variations of the medical disorders that WOULD result in such issues..."polymorphous light eruption" being one of them.

Ahh..I see. I will do some research and bring it to my doc or something. It might explain a few things... Thanks again!

So I'm not the only one in the middle of nowhere? And I'm fairly pale but I can get a very light tan, after tons and tons of aloe and like three days of looking like a lobster. It sucks. I even wear tanning lotion when I'll be in the sun, but its no help and the sun just gives me a headache. =[

If you really want a tan badly enough, there are liquid tan-in-a-bottle methods. Just have to be careful with application lest you take on that fake-tan-orange look.
It never bothered me, really...Never was a tanning fanatic, so not tanning isn't a big deal.

I notice I turn ghastly white for a while after or during feeding. Then I go back to my normal color. Anyone notice that? I always thought vampires were a legend...I was born close to Transylvania..visited Dracula s castle and now lo and behold..I find myself unable to stop feeding.
