Ok hello welcome to the forum. I am going to start out with some rules. I know you think it's cool that there are real vampires out there but before you post anywhere asking questions post here about anything you might want to know about vampires.
Real vampires are different from the fictional vampires because we are Human Vampires. We don't live forever, we aren't going to die if we hit the sun, we don't go away if we are exposed to that cross or garlic. non of that is true. If you have any questions feel free to ask on this board.

Well, this is cool!
Maybe there should be a special vampire-ish religion! Like twilight is with Cullenizm.
How do you know if you are becoming a vampire?

twilight is so wrong on many points, they aren't super people but i'll admit i prefer their company to humans. I mean i dont see a lot of them anymore since most like to stay around the world (god i wish i wasnt trying to get into university) but even my gf, who is a vamp by the way and a very violent one, is an example of as far strecthed as vampirism can change the human body.
she is faster, and stronger than most people you'll meet in the streets while only weighing 100 pounds but she doesnt burn up in sun or have an aversion to garlic (my god i wish she did, what who said that:P) but every book on vampires is a lie i dont get it.
why do people write books on lies when the truth is just as interesting:@

I'll amend that statement! its actually not easier to Fabricate, it takes many years of practice... Now what people really need to take a look at is the understatements beneath the overstatements--twilight for example, great books yes, but basically a fight between god and the devil: imho; God=werewolves devil=Vampires. and further more: Bella is being tested.

Don't forget, it's fiction. As with any other fiction book part of the appeal is that it is made up. The authers aren't trying to present it as fact, rather their own take on myths and legends that go back countless years. If they belive in vampires themselves or not isn't really important, they're just writing a story as much as anyone else. There are books about animals that build things and wear clothes and those are as obviously fiction as most vampire books.

I think twilight has a interesting view on vampires the books are good but the movies too much hollywood. some books I loved that are alot more accurate on vampires are there fictional but alot better they hit some good true key points in being a vampire.
here they are: peeps and the last days (hit the aversion very well and think of it as a virius so you who get a kick out of the medical stand point of it will get a kick out of this)
the S of society (describes vampires the most realistic more of an everyday average joe type of think)
Blue Bloods series (the upper class part of it is glamourized but does give a interesting point of past lives)
dark visions by L.J. Smith (my absolute favorite of the list so far gives amazing descriptions of pysch vampires)
these are some of them there fiction but hit some points very well

well, twilight is completly horrible! movie killed it! and the ending of breaking dawn wasnt that great,
okay anyway , i agree that people should right about the truth, not some fake poop that they thought of at the top of their heads, that jus leads people to think that is the truth, which in fact is not,

But then that would take the fun out of it! There has to be a balance of what we can portray as fiction and nonfiction. All they are doing is taking vampirism and twisting it to add a more theatricle effect to it to it. And with twilight they are describing the vampires as beautiful powerful creatures Wich is what the original vampire characteristics were. So they aren't making up a bunch of stupid lies to give a bad or dishonest name to modern day vampires, they're just taking old legends and figures of the original vampires back in the day and giving them a more pop-culture feel to it to grab the intrests of young audiences. So they aren't complete creations of bad fiction.
