As some of you may know, I am a Satanist, and I take my values highly.
Although some of you may not share the same view as me, Just because I worship Satan, does not mean I am a bad person, as some of you know.
To worship Him is to worship yourself, it's like life without any boundaries! Though I respect all religions and will not bash anyone just because of their religion, i still take a strong dislike towards christians, simply because of their close-mindedness.
Please respond with your views, and feel free to post a thread about your religion!

im a wiccan and i have no problem with any other religion. but i agree with you on the subject of th christian closemindedness. they are frightened of anything that is different from what they consider to be "normal". intolerance is due to misunderstanding.

you know, recently i have been looking at my life in different ways, and have been making a few critical adjustments. as i grow older my judgement changes with my body and i see things differently. my mind matures and i begin to be more independent, more in control of my actions. so i have decided to go against my religion and revoke stanaism. the only deity i worship now is myself and my inner god. therefore i guess you could say i dont really worship anything.

Even now tho im still in termoil as of what religion to believe myself. I am christian at the moment but that may likely change sometime soon.

That's the good thing about religion. you can change it as much as you want without penalty! most of the time...

um, has your dislike toward christians changed , bomb? : P i do hope it has, cause as you know, i'm catholic...just by name mostly though.. and certain principal values.. at the end of the day, as long as you're not taking away the right to someone's life or their peace of mind, and you're doing your good deed for the day.... even if you were religionless, i'd respect you.. ofcourse to most, it's that all-important issue of humility.. that we've gotta believe in an existence ( aka God) that is more powerful than our most able capability. that actually applies to me too.. but yes, adam, your're right when you initially stated christians tend to get very close minded.. they take their instruction of humility and obeisance a little too far.. and then there are those like me, who believe the underlying principal of all the holy texts are live and let live and keep the peace. : )

I hope all of you do realize that i dropped devil worship a while ago.
It's not the individual christians that i take issue with, it's their hipocracy that bugs me. for example, they say vampires and prostitutes are sinners, but it is fate! we cannot choose who we are, it is forced on us. 90% of females go into prostitution because they are left with no choice, they have to, to support themselves and their family. it's the same with vampirism, we cannot undo what we are born with! they say jesus sacrificed himself out of love for all mankind, yet these christians do not love everyone, only the people with deep pockets and narrow minded views. Of course there are those of his followers that see past the dogmatic views of the western religion, and reach out to all people, and not just churchgoers. these are the rare open minded individuals that jesus envisioned. That is what being a christian is about, loving all the people, good and evil, and accepting them for who and what they are. Very few christians see this prophecy, and unless more do, it will lead to the churches ruin.

Im dealing with that problem right now, i feel as a christian im like the ultimate bad due to me being vamp, but He should be okay with everyone no matter how they are. Its about being accepted. Many of us i know would want to be accepted, thats why theres this fourm for. The "problem" with christians is that they see people as sinners for things that are beyong a persons control. i hope to be able to change that but its a very hard thing to do because you have to change hundreds of millions of people.

A famous quote from Mahatma Ghandi, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
Ghandi, a Hindu, understood Christianity better than 98% of the rest of the world does. Imagine if everyone understood Ghandi's principles.

er. Adam. slight correction there... it's * Gandhi... trust me "ghandi" has a *different* meaning here in india : P
but yes, he has a point. not like the hindus are any better, but im just saying... : )
aethist or not, everyone has a dark side. the only annoying this being they blame religion up front.
i met the Dalai Lama the other day when he came to Goa... the man is certainly a wonder. where there's someone asking sarcastic questions like politicians' oath, he brought out his humorous side..and then went on to seriously answer the question.. he's serious AND he's fun. i wish the christians/catholics would learn from him. my parish priest included *sigh*
