ive been researching some real life vampire stories and find none, zilch, nada that even come close to sounding like the truth. (by this i mean the idiots that feature on newspapers claiming to wear fangs and sleep in coffins. stupid goth punks.) i'm still trying to figure out how realistic my own so-called vampirism is but that's a story for another time. assuming of course, we all know about the famous #Highgate vampires and the Florence lady vampire.. the Mercy Brown case.. i think all these were featured on National Geographic.. how true do you think those are? i mean, the people back then were definitely way overboard with their superstitious paranoia but then again, they weren't all THAT stupid. deep down we do believe there was some truth to their suspicion. so keeping our Hollywood sparklies aside, and coming down to the base point here: do you really believe supernatural vampires# exist? that they come back from the dead and need to be staked through/have blocks stuffed into their mouths? ps: i'm really grateful this site has level headed members unlike the other goth ones im constantly running into <_<

no no no ! adam, you've got me all wrong.... i'm sorry i should've titled it differently. i googled the above two. too gothic for my taste. ok let me elaborate a lil more specifically: do you think supernatural vampires exist? like Arnold Paole. now that is one VERY interesting story. i'm talking 'undead' here. think the ones that supposedly return from the dead really did/do exist? cause personally, i feel they do. and no vampire would want to popularise/jeopardise themselves. hence, as much as i'm grateful you've brought those two names to my notice, i just think theyre two dramatic characters. but yeah, back to the question at hand. undead vampires, anyone?

My personal wisdom: Returning from the dead is an oxymoron. An even bigger oxymoron is super-natural, if you are super, than you cant be natural. Yet an even bigger oxymoron is the living dead, or undead.
Theoretically, being supernatural in such a way to live beyond death, is impossible. But then again I guess everything is possible. That said, I do think that the impossible being possible is an even bigger contradiction than undead, or supernatural, or living in death.
I know that was properly confusing, so i'll just simplify; asking the question, do you believe in supernatural vampires? Is like asking a Christian if he believes in god. Then when he says yes, you ask if god exists, and asking if he has proof of it. He does not have proof.
Same goes with this. You ask the question, you may recieve individual answers. me personally i do not believe in the undead. But does this answer get you any closer to the truth?
My point is, belief is powerful, but how can people believe in something so blindly?
Then again to the mainstream public, me saying im a vampire kind of makes me a living undead supernatural unnatural oxymoron doesn't it?
And now to simplify the simplified version of my complex simplification, My answer is simply, No.

I have no opinion on it really, people can believe what they wish.
