Vervain, also known as the Holy herb is supposed to have a significant power that gives protection to people from vampires. Meaning, protection against mind controlling and generally keeping vampires away. What do you think about it? Do you think that this could possibly be true? And if consumed would it kill or just harm a vampire? (Hope none of it is true) but, I would like to to know 'your' views on it.

ok i did some research into the plant and found out soem things about it.
it is not native to america, more European countries. it is a medicinal herb, sometimes used in magic rituals apparently it is not good for pregnant women....
and it is a myth that it harms vampires... as i suspected... i guess if you eat it plain out raw, it might not be too healthy for you...

No i don't believe in this. Only because I bet the plant was used not for Vampires of this age but the dracula vampire of the old ages. Fake vampires.

Hmmm, interesting. It could possibly be true ErosRyder. But, do you think that Dracula was a fake? Or did you mean it was used on Dracula..and that there are fake vampires (that is true).?

Vervain (verbena officinalis)
Is used in magic for protection, love, lust, sleep, healing and used to enhance the dreaming process (also more). It has a long history of being used in magic and sorcery. I'd say that vampires who study their magical side, would use this herb, where it is needed. As most of them have a natural ability in magic whether discovered or not!
The Welsh called it 'llysiaur hudol' - or enchanting herb...
This herb is feminine by the way.
The answers we seek are hidden, with a silent and frisky rhythm.

Ive read about that...in old folk lore people would plant virvain near doors, and window, in case a vampire were to get in, they would also dry the flower out making, amulets to wear to, as was mentioned earlier, keep vampires from readingor controlling them through thier mind.but as everyones also said, its used for healing, and for love spells, by witches.

It is just an herb, like garlic and the sun is just a star, a cross is just two sticks 'crossed'. All these are myths from folklore and superstitious times. If you have an allergic reaction to vervain, or any other herb, garlic and are sensitive to sunlight, than yeah, it is bad for you. If you are offended by the cross, than yeah, it is bad for you. Other than allergic reaction, the only way an herb would be bad for you is if somebody put an actual (very potent) enchantment on it to harm vampires or demonic forces. Without the enchantment the herb holds little magical or energetic powers against a corporeal entity accept for medicinal purposes or used as a poison.
If you really want protection from a vampire learn self-defense or learn to run faster.
