About the heartbeat, it's theirs but if I feel my own it's racing. Hahaa about the music, too true these days! My brother can barely hear a thing - rather annoying when I know he's left his Xbox on and I'm downstairs and telling him to turn it off!

are you close to them like standing inches away from them? if not it's seems like it might be all in your head maybe because of the way hollywood has potrayed vampires. I'm not sure about someone's hearing being that good from a distance to hear heartbeats.

I do have to be near them to get it, yes...they'll be queuing for food in front of me or something so nearly touching. It's never really a definite "sound" persay, more like I can hear/sense the vibrations...if that makes any sense ^ ^;;

it's alright I thought you were being literal. do you feel really energized after being intimate with someone or being around a group of people. like one minute calm the next energetic?

Sometimes, it depends. If the group is massive I can become a bit lost and disorientated because I have so much energy I can't really expend it but in a smaller group, certainly.

My name is Jessica, I've been going through the process of Awakening for about a year now. I see a lot of people on here asking if they are going through an awakening because of such and such physical change. I found that the most obvious hallmark of my experience was the way that my peception and perspective was altered over the past year. How about the mental aspects of awakening? Did anyone experience a change in mindset? I have undergone a transformation of my awareness and understanding of he world around me. And to be honest, it has still been a year and I can not say with 100% certainty that I am a vampire. I think it is important for anyone who is undergoing an awakening, to really and truelly understand what a vampire is. Really read up on it. Its tempting to ask other people if you are awakening or if you are a vampire, but the only advice that can really be given is about what the experience was like for each individual. Its about what all these things that are happening and changing withing you mean to YOU. Yes its photosensitivity, and being awake at night and all of that. But those types of things don't immediately inspire me to think of my vampirism. Like I said, I've been going through this for over a year and I still don't have a definitive answer. Awakening gave me a 'bigger picture' perspective. I understand how trivial and hateful things like money and power are. I look at things in terms of lifetimes, and although I have a difficult time working with it, I have developed and understanding and awareness of energy and its effect on me and the world around. My question for this board on my first post, is What, if any, are some of the mental or psychological changes you underwent during awakening?

there wasn't much mental because my parents never sheltered me from anything or lied about anything i.e. santa claus ect. the physical well I had awoken when I was thirteen. it wasn't until I was sixteen that I was for sure I was a vampire. have you been to the doctors during the past year for the symptoms? but be careful who you ask or you may end up checking into the happy hotel. also don't ever ever use the V word to the doctor.

Yea, I definitly grew up pretty sheltered, I was raised a Christian but that all began to change when I was around 11. More importantly, from the medical aspect I have definitly spent some time seeing doctors over the past year. That's actually been one of the top things on my agenda when it comes to solving this little mystery of mine. Back when I first began to awaken, I felt tired and began to notice I was short of breath when performing simple tasks lke walking up one flight of stairs (I'm 21, 5'5, like 130lbs). After a little research about all of this and from reading on the experiences of others I knew it would be unwise to jump to the conclusion of vampirism without undergoing medical testing. I've had quite a few blood tests done(CBC, CMP, Lipids, Rheumatoid Factor, Lymes,Pregancy and afew others). I tend to get mildly anemic from time to time, but that always easily manageable with Slow Fe (iron pills) and all the rest of my bloodwork always comes back beautiful. Additionally I had a cardiologic work-up done, two chest x-rays, and I keep up regularly with my gyno and primary doctor. Furthermore, I've been to see a psychiatrist at least in the last two years, so I know I'm not crazy and No, I've never used the 'V' word to a doctor haha. Next on my agenda is to see a gastroenterologist to attempt to explain the poor digestion I have experienced when it comes to eating, and I've made changes in my diet, activity level, and I've quit smoking. I feel like if I am in better physical condition and on top my health, if I continue to experience the symptoms that I have been I can better catalog them and see if any of my theories still apply. Anyone else get a medical work-up done, if so what were the results?
